EDU 205 Foundations of Reading Instruction
This course provides an introduction to the concept of literacy and an overview of how literacy skills are developed in educational settings. The course includes the developmental progression of literacy stages through which children pass from pre-literacy to independent literacy skills, a study of methods, materials, classroom procedures, and evaluation techniques for facilitating reading. This course includes 10 hours of in-class observation time.
