BUS 205: Statistical Methods in Economics and Business
Prerequisite: MAT 142H or higher
Credits: 3 cr. hrs. (3 pds: 3 lec)
Course Description: Introduces statistical concepts and methods of business. Includes statistics, data, and statistical thinking, methods for describing sets of data, probability, discrete random variables, continuous random variables, sampling distributions, estimation with confidence intervals, tests of
hypothesis, inferences based on two samples, correlation and regression, methods for quality improvement, time series, design of experiments and analysis of variance, nonparametric statistics, and categorical analysis.
