4/30/2020ECE 226: Effective Interactions and Guidance Prerequisite: None 3 cr. hrs. (3 pds: 3 lec.) Programs: AA-ECE GenEd: None This course provides students with age and developmentally appropriate strategies for creating a positive, socially-competent classroom community. The content includes: tools to identify and document behavioral concerns; effective classroom management techniques that reduce behavior problems with typically developing children; positive guidance and behavior management strategies for teaching children self-regulation skills and socially-acceptable interactions; and resources for assisting children with challenging behaviors.
