GEO 267: Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Prerequisite: CIS 100 (or equivalent) or instructor permission.
Credits: 3 cr. hrs. (5 pds: 2 lec, 3 lab)
Course Description: This course teaches students ways to capture, store, retrieve, analyze and display geographic data in different formats and outputs. Includes the evolution of GIS technology, system components, database concepts, system integration and its application across a wide range of science,
business, government, and nonprofit agencies.
