SCI 290: Special Topics in Science
Prereq: MAT 151 and eight (8) credits of Science or permission of Instructor
Credits: Between 2-5 Lecture, 1 credit lab
Course Description: This special-topics course increases student knowledge in a specialized area of science, provides an opportunity to engage in scientific inquiry, and includes experience in field, lab, or computing skills and techniques. Methods of course delivery vary based on topic.
Course Outcomes: Student learning outcomes will include at least 3-6 (dependent on number of credits) major topics/issues discussed in the course and will be tied to a special area of science, engagement in scientific inquiry, and a competency in field, lab, or computing skills and techniques.
