SOC 101: Introduction to Sociology Prerequisite: None Credits: 3 cr. hrs. (3 pds: 3 lec) Introduction to the basic concepts of sociology and sociological analysis. Includes identity, folkways, norms, mores, groups, status, role, gender socialization, social structure, culture and ethnicity. Also includes deviance, social control, bureaucracy, social change, social class, collective behavior, social movements, social stratification, inequality, institutions, social organization, and globalization within and across contemporary societies and cultures.
