SWU 291: Social Service Delivery Systems
Prerequisite: SWU 171, or Corequisite SWU 171, or Permission of the instructor.

Course Description: The study of social welfare, the purposes, structures, and systems of human service
delivery are examined. Public, private, and tribal entities are explored. Applies human behavior-in-social
environment theory and the role of social policy. Includes 40 hours of volunteer/service-learning
experience in local tribal and community settings.
