Prerequisites: Admission and good standing in an apprenticeship program. Recommended corequisites: BCT 100, 111, 112, 113, 114

This course introduces basic rigging and materials handling techniques and procedures. It explains how ropes, chains, hoists, loaders, and cranes are used to move material and equipment. The course also identifies hazards associated with materials handling and introduces appropriate equipment for common job-site tasks.
